While I'm still on 3 day working weeks (with Thursday and Friday's off for paternity leave), we've tried to make full use of the extra few days, either getting out and about when it's less busy, or just enjoying the longer weekends. At the start of the month, on the 1st, we headed into Canary Wharf for a walk around there and decided on Goodman's for lunch which we were both looking forward to but really didn't live up to expectations which we thought it would. Steak was alright, but doesn't compare to Hawksmoor!

That Thursday I took Ellen swimming in the morning, with us all heading to Peckham Levels in the afternoon and getting a burger and beer there. That Friday, while Ellen was in preschool - Una, Ian and myself headed down to Well & Fed for a morning coffee and then to Kudu for lunch which was good. That Saturday we headed over to Paul and Carol's place for lunch and for the afternoon, which Ellen thoroughly enjoyed spending some time with the bunnies :) Then Sunday was a chilled out day just around the house.

The following weekend was rather active, with Chai Thai for dinner on Wednesday evening, swimming with Ellen on the Thursday morning, Beckenham Palace Park on the Friday meeting up with Gav and Jane for pizza there and then just at home on the Saturday. On the Sunday we met up with Kin Kay, Joanna and Ava at Telegraph Hill Park but when the cafe was closed, we all headed back to ours for coffee and croissants. That afternoon once they had gone, the four of us headed over to Ruskin Park for the 'Summer Music at the Bandstand' concert again which we enjoyed the last time, so good to go back again.

This past Thursday was swimming in the morning, then the Rose pub for lunch, followed by Fordham Park in the afternoon and a bite to eat at Wakey Wakey cafe. Friday was just a quiet day at home and then yesterday we drove over to Duncan and Lol for lunch at their place, along with Will and Aggie as well.

Today we've just been at home, and a bit of packing before we're off tomorrow for a week at Camber Sands which should be good, and also Ian's first holiday :)
