This past weekend we had booked a weekend away in Aldington in Kent, in a cosy Garden Chalet - just to get away from home for a few days and enjoy a weekend break. We headed down there on Friday around lunch time, and after checking-in we took a leisurely stroll through the nearby fields, spent some time playing in the Wagon in the garden, and then just chilled out in the chalet for a bit.

On the Saturday, we had booked a slot at the local Pick Your Own Pumpkin farm, so we headed off there in the morning, spent a couple of hours walking around the farm and picking out a few pumpkins for Halloween which was quite good fun :) Then back to the Chalet for lunch and some time in the Wagon again.

That afternoon we drove over to Greatstone Beach which was a really nice spacious sandy beach, plenty of space for Ellen and Mia to run around :) And just really nice to stroll along the beach too! That evening we lit the firepit outside and sat around there for a bit enjoying watching the fire burn.

Yesterday morning after an easy walk through the fields in the area, we checked-out and drove back down to Greatstone Beach for another walk, but this time the tide was right in so not nearly as much space to walk as on Saturday afternoon, but still good to feel the coastal breeze. After a walk down and back along the beach and dunes, we drove over to Dymchurch for fish and chips overlooking the sea.

After our lunch (in the car) and a walk along the promenade, we decided it was time to head home and made our way back to London, after a nice relaxing weekend away :)
