Over the past few days, from Friday, we've been away in Worcestershire at Up Sticks Glamping for a lockdown-getaway. It's the first break and holiday we've had since Ellen's birthday weekend, which was pre-lockdown, and haven't actually had any time off over lockdown, so was really nice to get away for a few days. We decided on glamping - as it was the best of camping, without all the setup and work involved :)

On Saturday, we headed down to the nearby woods for a bit of a walk around there, followed by the afternoon back at "camp" to chill out, and feed the sheep and just wander around the area enjoying the outdoors. That evening, we lit up the campfire and chilled out around that with a beer and a glass of wine :)

On Sunday, after the morning around camp, we took a walk down the road to The Farmers Arms pub for a couple of afternoon beers in the outside beer garden. It was a nice open garden, which was great for Ellen to run around a bit, and for us to enjoy a beer in a pub again, the first since the beginning of the year. That evening we lit the campfire again, and enjoyed a couple of drinks around that. Monday was a similar day around camp, with a campfire as well that evening.

Yesterday was our last day, so after breakfast and packing up, we left Up Sticks and made our way home, stopping at Marlow for a picnic lunch and then after a really slow drive through the London traffic, got home mid afternoon. For our first trip away since March, was really good and just nice to get away from the daily reminder of hand sanitiser and masks! We did laugh how we decided to get away from lockdown isolation by going glamping in isolation :)
