And here we are again, the end of another month in lockdown, and very similar to last month as well. It's been a mix of visits up to Nunhead Cemetery, our wedding anniversary dinner (at home obviously), some more biltong drying and us alternating our days with Ellen. As much as it's been rather full on, it does mean we've had a lot of extra time with Ellen than we otherwise would have, which has been nice. We also managed to organise a Jukka Bingo Night on Zoom with everyone for Una's birthday which had a good turn out and was a good night in the end.

We did manage to plan a meetup with Greg, Kim and the boys in Wimbledon Park, which is about midway between us and them. Landed up being super windy as well which would normally just mean we'd relocate to a nearby pub or cafe, but obviously that couldn't happen so after some time bearing it in the wind, we decided to call it a day, but was good to see them and the boys and Ellen had good fun seeing them again :)

We've also had some nice weather again so got the paddling pool out on some days, and fired up the braai on other days. So still trying to make the most of the nice weather days as much as we can.

My other exciting news for this month was receiving my first 3D printed part which I designed and got printed, and it's for the biltong box. A small issue I've always had with the box was the aluminium bars across the top often slipping and falling down, so wanted to come up with a solution, and 3D printed parts seemed the answer. It took a few evenings of planning and designs, and kept it rather simple, but the parts arrived in the post the other day, so super excited to see it in action :)

Over this past weekend, we headed into town to the Victoria Embankment Gardens in front of the Savoy Hotel for a bit of a walk around there, which was obviously a lot quieter than usual. Was quite strange walking around there with no-one in sight, usually it would be packed with people lounging around or picnicing or walking through - but seemed for the most part that we were the only ones in there!

We're now two and a bit months into lockdown, and even though we've tried to adjust to life under lockdown, it's going to take a while to get used to this "new normal" way of living. Until next month's update... "stay safe" as they say :)
