I wasn't entirely sure if I was going to continue with this blog during lockdown as nothing has really been going on, but figured it would be good to look back on these lockdown post one day down the line. So even though most of these monthly lockdown posts are going to be similar, I'll try include some of the highlights and some photos of whatever we're been up to, month by month :)

After we got back from Ellen's birthday weekend in Margate around the middle of this month, we knew lockdown was imminent and decided to get haircuts, take pooch to the groomers and pull Ellen out of nursery. A few days later, on the 23rd of this month, the official lockdown kicked in, so who knows what's ahead of us going forward?!

We did however take a drive into central London to check out what an abandoned London looked like - was so weird to see it that quiet and just deserted. We stopped in at Hyde Park briefly for a bit of a run around, which was also much quieter than usual!

With Ellen now at home, Una and I are alternating our work schedules, with me working in the morning while Uns looks after Ellen, then we swap in the afternoon and I take Ellen while Uns work, then I catch up a few hours again at night. It's not ideal and pretty full on, but it works for us for now at least, so we'll see how we get on :) Otherwise we've had a couple of visits up to Nunhead Cemetery for a wander through there and a few braais outside in the garden, so trying to make the best of the current situation.

Going forward, I'm not sure how often I'll be posting here since we're probably not going to get up to anything different or super exciting to write about, so I might just do the occasional update with some photos, rather than any specific interesting events, well, until this is all behind us at some point...
