Last week Thursday we had our work Christmas party, starting in the afternoon in the office with Secret Santa, followed by a few drinks, then we all caught a bus over to Lucy and Simon's house for the rest the night out there having drinks and food.

Since Noel and Megan had arrived into London on that Thursday, I'd decided to take the Friday off to hang out with them in town. We started off with breakfast at the Blackbird Bakery and then headed into town and over to John Lewis. They had a Winter Carnival Rooftop Garden which is where we spent a good bit of the afternoon, enjoying a couple of drinks up there too. From John Lewis we took a scenic walk through the streets to check out the Christmas lights, and then finally back home for dinner.

On Saturday we headed out to Honor Oak to drop Noel and Megan off to visit some friends while myself, Uns and Ellen headed over to Dulwich Park. But between the wind and the excessive cold, we decided against the park and rather enjoyed a coffee and cake in the cafe. After picking up Noel and Megan afterwards, we headed home for the afternoon and some time in the log cabin. Then that evening, Shazell came round to babysit, while we all made our way into Shoreditch for dinner at Dishoom.

On Sunday morning, after trying Kudu for breakfast which was fully booked, we caught the train into town and had breakfast at Covent Garden Grind. Afterwards we took a walk around the Jubilee Market and then, in order to try get Ellen to have a nap, we thought we'd walk over to South Kensington to The Royal Albert Hall for the Christmas Adventure Show. Even though she didn't manage to nap, she was in such good form and absolutely loved the show, such excitement :)

After a fairly quiet Monday and Tuesday, we had Noel and Megan stay with us again last night before their flight off to Ireland today. We just stayed in and had the hot stone raclette for dinner which always goes down well. Was awesome to see them again and as always, great banter and chat, and sure they'll have an excellent time over in Ireland!
