From Friday until yesterday we've been away in Deal - a nice little coastal town in Kent. We left home on Friday morning after breakfast and drove out there, about an hour and a half away. After arriving in Deal and parking the car, we dropped our things in the house and found Salentino's Restaurant for lunch. After a good lunch there, we made our way back to the house for Ellen's afternoon nap.

Later that afternoon we popped down to the beach, visited the arcade and then came across Smugglers Record Shop, which had some live music inside. The band playing was 'The Soft and Whippy Jam Band' and we decided to stay there for a while, have a drink and enjoy the music. Once they were done playing, we popped across the road to Sea View for fish and chips and then headed back to the house for the evening.

Saturday was rather rainy all day, but we decided on brunch at Deal Pier Kitchen which was right at the end of the pier. After a good brunch there and plenty of activity going on for missy, we then headed back to the house for Ellen's afternoon nap. Later on, once the rain had mostly gone, we popped down to the beach for a while, followed by the arcade and then to The Boathouse Bar & Restaurant for a drink and some dinner.

Yesterday morning, after a bit of time around the house, myself and Ellen popped into the library for some books and reading, while Uns took Mia for a walk along the beach and collect the car from where we had parked it. We then headed back to Deal Pier Kitchen for brunch before making the drive back to London, getting home around mid afternoon yesterday.
