Last week Thursday it was Ollie's last day at work so most of us headed over to Brewdog on Clerkenwell Road and stayed on for a good few hours before heading home. Then on Friday, after a quick post-work beer at Lazybones I made my way over to Peckham Rye and took a walk over to The Gowlett. Since the weather was so nice and sunny, I sat outside enjoying a pint while waiting for Uns and Ellen to arrive who had been in the park for the afternoon. After a pizza and drink there, we made our way home, in time for missy's bedtime and a chilled out evening.

The weekend was our late summer bank holiday weekend, and since we knew the weather was going to be really nice and warm, Uns and I had decided to take Tuesday off work and make a nice long weekend out of it. So on Saturday we had planned to head to the park but after trying to start the car with a dead battery, that plan changed and we stayed at home, with me popping out that afternoon to get a jump starter from Halfords. Then on Sunday we again kept it fairly local, with a walk up to and around Telegraph Hill Park in the afternoon.

On Monday we had planned to meet up with Greg and Kim and the boys at Richmond Park. After parking the cars at the Petersham Park Car Park, we walked down to the playground which turned into a longer walk than expected but we managed to get a shady spot and enjoyed our picnic there while the boys ran back and forth between us and the playground. After some time by the playground, we made our way back up the hill and into Richmond Park and headed back home again again. That afternoon we popped over to Nunhead Cemetery for a walk around there with pooch while missy enjoyed her little adventure through the woods :)

Tuesday was the day Uns and I had booked off, but with Ellen not 100% and a quick trip to Kings on the Monday night, we decided to keep her out of nursery for the day. But we made the most of it anyway, with breakfast at Blackbird Bakery that morning followed by a walk around Dulwich Woods in the afternoon, which turned into a nice day in the end, even if it didn't involve a day in the garden lying in the deck chairs :)

Yesterday we decided to keep Ellen at home again, and with Uns meeting up with her new company in town, I decided to take the day off and hang out with little missy. In the morning her and I headed over to the Blackbird Bakery for some coffee and brunch, followed by a quick stop in at the shops and then over to Frobisher Park on St Mary's Road for a little while before heading home. That afternoon, once Uns was home, we all took a drive over to Dulwich Park for some fun in the playground while Uns walked Mia around.

Our original bank holiday turned into a long and fairly active five day weekend which was really nice, and at least it's only two days of work this week before the weekend again :)
