On Saturday morning I headed up to Telegraph Hill Park with Ellen for a bit of time on the swings and slide, followed by playclub. Uns followed up a bit later with Mia and all of us then headed over to The Hill Station cafe for some coffee and brunch outside. The afternoon was just spent enjoying the garden and log cabin, and that evening, once missy was down, Uns and I had ourselves a steak braai for dinner and chilled out for the evening.

Yesterday, after a morning at home, the plan was to head over to Richmond to meet up with Fisher who was over in London for the holidays. Once Ellen had had her lunch, we headed out only to realise the trains weren't running and the dreaded four words showed up... "Rail replacement bus service" :( After just short of an hour on the bus trying to get to Vauxhall, we decided against it and thought we'd enjoy the afternoon walking along the South Bank. The walk from Vauxhall to Waterloo and then to London Bridge is always nice, along the river and finally stopping off at Wagamama's for a late lunch.

Once home we then had a super exciting evening of sports - switching back and forward between the Federer vs Djokovic Wimbledon final and the Cricket World Cup final between England and New Zealand. With the tennis going to a final set tie break, we got to watch the last bit of the cricket, including the super over and see England take the win, after a rather intense finish, but a good evening of sport indeed!
