Since the folks were staying up at our place and the weather was nice on Friday, I had decided to take the day off work to spend it at home. Greg and Kim and the boys had a visa appointment in town in the morning so we had invited them over to ours afterwards for a lunch time braai and afternoon at our place. Was good to have everyone around for a nice chilled out afternoon and lunch. That evening, once Ellen had gone down for the night, Uns and I made our way into town for a few cocktails and drinks at the American Bar in the Savoy Hotel, while the folks stayed in and babysat :)

On Saturday morning we drove over to Greenwich Park for a leisurely walk around the rose garden. We had originally planned to first walk around a bit and then stop in at the café for some coffee and cake, but after annoyingly forgetting to pay and display, we landed up getting a parking fine, so changed our mind and headed home instead, in time for Ellen's midday nap while we relaxed outside in the garden.

We were just at home for the afternoon, with Keith popping around that evening, as he happened to be over in London for the weekend. We then all watched the Champions League final on TV that evening, opting to stay in with a few beers rather than head out to a pub. Was good to see Keithy again, and unfortunately not quite the result I had hoped for in the game, with Liverpool beating Spurs by 2 goals to 0.

Yesterday morning, after Uns and I had popped into Peckham to get a few things, dad had made his way through to the Oval to meet Greg to watch SA take on Bangladesh in the cricket. While driving back from town, Greg called to say he had a couple of spare tickets, so change of plan and I decided to then make my way through. It was a nice and hot sunny day, perfect for a bit of cricket :)

Unfortunately SA landed up losing the game, just completely outplayed by Bangladesh, but still a good day in the sun and the cricket, and then back home again by early evening in time before missy's bedtime :)
