On Saturday morning last week, Uns, Ellen and I headed down to the Blackbird Bakery for a coffee and a bite to eat, with Uns only briefly staying there before she made her way over to Dalston for brunch and the afternoon with the girls. After coffee at the bakery, Ellen and I popped into the shops and made our way home for the afternoon. On Sunday we spent the majority of the day at home, and then decided to pop up to Chai's Thai Restaurant for an early dinner there.

This Saturday just gone by we had brunch booked in at Galvin at Windows, a Michelin-starred restaurant on the 28th floor of the London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane, overlooking Hyde Park. Our booking was for midday and after a couple of hours there for brunch, we then made our way over to Hyde Park for a leisurely walk around there and via the Diana Memorial Fountain. From Hyde Park, we walked down along Oxford Street (always busy and as crazy as ever), and popped into the Apple Store, followed by a walk down to Haymarket Street for coffee and cake at Ole & Steen bakery. Finally, after a quick stop in at Trafalgar Square, we made our way home. The weather was exceptionally mild with clear sunny skies, which made the day's walking all that more enjoyable.

Yesterday morning we took a walk up towards Telegraph Hill Park for breakfast at The Hill Station cafe. The day was again nice and sunny, so while Ellen was having her long afternoon nap, Uns and I managed to pull up the outside chairs and soak up a bit of the mild afternoon winter sun :) The rest of the afternoon was just spent chilling at home.

After such a nice sunny weekend, the weather today has turned wet, rainy and miserable, but at least it's only a three day work week with us flying out to sunny South Africa on Thursday afternoon for a nice ten day break out there!
