After a day just at home on Saturday, we decided to head out on Sunday over to Greenwich to visit Santa's Grotto which was at Greenwich Market. The queue wasn't too long at least, and we managed to get a few photos of missy with Santa :) After the Grotto, we popped over to Nandos for lunch, took another walk through the market again and then made our way home.
I had taken the day off work yesterday for us to have a chilled out day around central London. With weekends in town usually fairly manic, we figured a Monday would be quieter and more enjoyable. After the morning at home for Ellen's naps, we left around midday and headed into town. The weather was perfect for December - crisp, sunny and rather mild. We first took a stroll through the Leicester Square Christmas Market then tried our luck to get into Kerridge's Bar & Grill inside the Corinthian Hotel. With some luck, Tom Kerridge himself was in the kitchen that day and still serving, so we luckily got ourselves a seat inside for a late lunch. Was a really nice lunch there, and Ellen was (as always) exceptionally well behaved which always makes fine dining more enjoyable :)
After our late lunch and drinks there, we walked over to Waterloo Station and caught the train back home after a good day out in town.
