Last week Tuesday evening, Uns and I thought we'd try stop by The Tower of London to go see the memorial 'Beyond the Deepening Shadow' which was there for a week up until Remembrance Sunday. After meeting near to London Bridge station and walking over Tower Bridge, the crowds didn't too crazy at first, but we soon realised everyone was around the other side, queueing to get down the stairs for a closer look at the memorial. Since it was getting a bit late for Ellen, we decided against trying to see the memorial and instead make our way back to London Bridge and head on home. We knew it would be popular, didn't quite expect that many people out, especially on a Tuesday evening! But then again, when is anything in London not busy :)
On Wednesday evening Uns has organised a nice relaxing in-house massage for the both of us at home. We got the log cabin all set up and ready, and both enjoyed an hour long massage, first Uns and then myself. A nice relaxing way to spend a Wednesday evening... something I'm sure we could get used to :)
On Saturday morning we popped out into Peckham to get a few things from the shops and then had the afternoon at home. That evening Carol came round to babysit as Uns and I had tickets to go see Michael McIntyre. We'd decided to have a steak braai since there was only a 24% chance of light rain. Except that 24% turned into a 100% massive downpour, so braaiing outside in that weather certainly wasn't much fun. Once I'd dried off, Uns and I then headed off towards the O2, and only when en route did we realise the tickets were actually for Wembley Arena and not the O2 at all! Luckily we hadn't changed tube lines yet and continued up north towards Wembley, somewhat further away than Greenwich! But a really good gig, always a fan of a comedy night out.
Yesterday was just a lazy day chilling out at home with little Ellen around the house :)
