On Wednesday evening last week I had organised to meet up with the NCT guys for a few catch up beers and we had decided on the Prince of Peckham pub, mainly because of their decent selection of beers and they do good chicken wings! The last time I'd seen most of the guys was about 5 months ago back at the Old Nuns Head when the little ones were only about a month old, so was good to see them all again and catch up how they were all doing.
On Saturday morning, we started Ellen on her first taste of solids, with a few rounds of baby rice. She didn't seem to mind the solids too much, and certainly didn't try spit it all out, so here's hoping she loves the grub as much as Una and I do :)
After the morning at home, we made our way up to Nunhead for brunch and coffee at Goodcup, and then continued over to Peckham Rye Park for the Peckham Rye Fete and Dog Show. The weather was nice and sunny which made for a nice afternoon around the fete, as well as watching some of the dog show and then a walk through the Japanese Gardens, before heading back home.
Yesterday was just a quiet day around the house and in the garden, with a walk over to Brimmington Park in the afternoon with pooch for a run around there. Unfortunately no bank holiday this weekend, so we're back to a five day week again...
