Didn't really get up to too much last week, just been enjoying the nice warm summer weather we're (still) having. Apparently the temperatures hit at least 25° every day last month, which I think must be some kind of record. Unfortunately for me a lot of those days were spent in the office looking out at the sunshine, but I did try get to the park as often as I could for lunch, and dinners most evening outside at home.

On Saturday morning, Uns, Ellen and myself headed up to Nunhead for breakfast at Crossways Cafe which we'd spoken about going to for ages but never got around to it. So at least now we've been :) After breakfast there we walked into Peckham Rye to get a few things from the high street and then made our way home. That evening we all made our way over to Putney for Fisher's leaving drinks at the Cat's Back... no surprise choice of venue there :) The others were all fairly slow to arrive through, and after a couple of hours at the pub, Uns and Ellen decided to head off home and I stayed on for the night. After sometime after their lock-in, I then called it a night and headed on home.

Sunday was a fairly wet, rainy and miserable day - the first of those we've had in absolute ages! Think everyone kind of forgot what to do during a rainy day here... so we spent it just chilling out around the house. Then on Monday evening after work we had Fisher around to ours for a steak braai - we had promised to cook dinner for him before we left and had organised it for Monday. After dinner and a few beers and whiskeys, we called it a night and he was too lazy to leave decided to stay over at ours for the night instead of trekking back home.

Today for lunch I headed over to Liverpool Street Station and met up with Uns and Ellen who were flying out to Cork, so we decided we'd have lunch at The Merchant of Bishopsgate pub before they caught their train up to Stansted Airport to get their flight.

I only fly out next Saturday, so they'll be there for ten days before I join them, which is a long time but got plenty of DIY jobs to do around the house which will surely keep me busy :)
