Last week Wednesday was Una's birthday and since we weren't going to be out that evening for dinner, Uns and Ellen came through at lunch time for a picnic in St. John's Gardens just around the corner from the office. The weather was nice and sunny, so good to have had them come through for a lunchtime visit :)
On Friday evening Teresa arrived for a weekend visit, so for dinner that night we fired up the Weber and had ourselves a braai. Then on Saturday morning we decided to stop in at Meet District for brunch, followed by TK Maxx for a few hours in the late afternoon, much to Teresa's enjoyment! The weather was rubbish the whole day, so certainly one to be spent indoors, even if it did land up being the shops!
On Saturday night, Teresa had offered to babysit while Uns and myself had booked in for dinner at Kudu. We'd been wanting to go back there for sometime and figured it was both close to home as well as good food. We'd last been there back in January for my birthday, so was good to go back and just as good as the last time. Then on Sunday morning, after trying to decide where to go for breakfast or brunch, we thought we'd return to Kudu (again) and try out their brunch menu, so back-to-back meals there :)
After brunch, we drove into town and dropped Teresa off at Blackfriars Station for her to get her train up to Luton Airport, after which we took a scenic drive back, via the Rotherhithe Tunnel (twice) and Greenwich, before heading home... anything to try get little missy to sleep! Once home, we picked up Mia and made our way over to Belair Park in Dulwich for a few hours there. Was good to give poochy a bit of a run around and chase a few pesky crows :)
Not too much planned for this week coming up, the weather's meant to be OK over the next few days so hopefully manage to get to the park at lunch time as well as a couple of braais in the evening!
