Last week Wednesday was our third wedding anniversary dinner at home, and slightly different to that of previous years :) At least we managed our meal together which was a bonus, while little Ellen chilled out in her chair watching over us. Then on Thursday evening we had Noel over for dinner as he was passing through London so had him round at ours for the evening. Was good to catch up with him again and since the weather was decent, we decided on a braai and a few drinks at home.
Friday's weather was exceptionally good, and was just the start of a warm spell of weather over the bank holiday weekend. So for lunch on Friday, Uns and Ellen came through to Farringdon and we all headed over to St. John's Gardens, which was nice for the three of us to have a picnic there :)
Then on Saturday we met up with Greg, Kim and the boys at The Telegraph pub in Putney which seemed about half way between us and them, even though it took us double the time to get there in London traffic :( But a nice afternoon and lunch out there with them, as well as a walk through the heath and then watched a bit of cricket afterwards which was being played on Putney Heath Cricket Ground.
With the weather so nice and sunny, we decided to stay fairly local the rest of the weekend, with most of Sunday outside in the garden and then a picnic at home yesterday afternoon followed by a walk into Peckham to Burgess Park for a while and then back home again.
With it still rather sunny today, I met Uns, Ellen and Mia after work near by Skehans and we all headed up to Telegraph Hill Park. When we got there we figured it was probably a bit too chilly and windy up there for little Ellen, so decided to head home and postpone our evening picnic dinner to another time when it stays warmer later into the evening. We're definitely starting to get a taste for summer again, so hopefully the warm weather stays around from now on...
