Over the past ten days we've managed to have both a heatwave as well as really chilly wintry weather, which I guess is very typical of the UK spring weather :) Towards the end of the week before last, with the temperatures hitting almost 28°C over those few days, and since we still didn't have a working oven after the power surge, we landed up having a braai at home most evenings and chilling outside in the garden, but mostly in the shade with little Ellen :)

On that Saturday, after some time in the garden at home, we took a walk over to The Rye pub next to Peckham Rye Common for a drink there, followed by an evening braai at home, attempting some slow cooked smoked ribs on the Weber. Then on Sunday, after another morning outside in the garden, we took a walk over to Peckham Rye Common in the afternoon, relaxed away there under the trees and then slowly made our way home later on.

On this Saturday just gone by, we had our NCT catch up lunch with the other couples and their little ones, over at The Old Nuns Head. Unfortunately Dave, Katie and little Laurie couldn't make it, but was good to have seen everyone else and to meet little Bash, Nelly and Jack. I'm sure we'll be organising more Saturday lunch meetups with them over the coming weeks and months.

After getting home from the catch up on Saturday evening, I made my way though to London Bridge and met up with Duncs. The original plan was to meet him, Mark, Will and Paulus along the Bermondsey Beer Mile, but after the others dropped out and Mark landed up in Chancery Lane, Duncs and I decided on a few beers at Mercato Metropolitano near by Elephant & Castle which was cool, and good to catch up with him again.

Yesterday's weather had certainly turned much cooler, so we spent the morning over at Argos and B&Q to get a few things there and get a few jobs done around the house. Today's weather has turned bitterly cold, no idea what happened to Spring but certainly missing the heatwave from last week! Hopefully it's only a short spell of cold weather and sunny Spring kicks in again :)
