Last weekend I started off Saturday morning with a tidy up outside in the garden - not exactly my favourite time of the year with the mountains of leaves that pile up! But with my trusty new leaf blower, it wasn't all that bad :) Then later that day, I settled down in front of the TV to watch bits of the England vs Australia rugby game, then Ireland vs Fiji and finally France vs South Africa, so a pretty lazy indoors afternoon after a somewhat active morning outside.

On the Sunday morning, Uns and I started off with a fry-up at home, then headed down to Walton-on-Thames with Mia to take her out for the day. Greg and Kim had kindly offered to look after her over Christmas, so we thought we'd take her down for an afternoon to get used to their place, and see how she got on with the train journey. We only stayed down for a few hours, but Mia managed just fine, so sure she'll be all good next month while she's down there on her holidays :)

On Tuesday last week, I popped down after work for a beer with John, Tom and JP at Lazybones to chat about a few things for work, and even though they all seemed to be staying out for the night, I wasn't able to and headed off home for a quick bite, then Uns and I made our way over to Richmond to see Ed Byrne at the Richmond Theatre in his latest show called "Spoiler Alert". I hadn't seen him live before and really enjoyed it, and Richmond Theatre a nice sized venue too for live shows.

On Friday, Teresa flew over from Ireland to spend the weekend shopping visiting us. She got in early afternoon, and later that evening Sophie arrived in, who'd caught the train up from Exeter. That evening we spent the night in, having dinner, some wine and catching up.

Dinner

On Saturday, while the three of them headed into town for a day of shopping, I made my way over to Camberwell for Iggy's housewarming, along with JJ, Coops, Marty, SuBo and AA. With a combination of Bailey coffees, bloody marys, prosecco and beers, it turned into a fairly boozy brunch and afternoon there. Once home that evening, we all decided against Dishoom for dinner and after ordering pizzas from Mama Dough, I decided to go lie down briefly which turned into a full night's sleep :)

Then yesterday, while Sophie was busy with her uni day out, Una and Teresa once again headed off into town for some more shopping, and I decided to stay around the house and do a bit outside and keep the pooch company. And then yesterday evening, we all made our way into Liverpool Street for a drink first at the Hamilton Hall pub, followed by dinner at Duck & Waffle.

It had been about four years since Uns and I were last at Duck & Waffle for dinner, so good to go back and certainly enjoyed the food there, even if I did order a steak for two! :)
