At the end of last week, we had a visit and a note from the neighbour asking us to take Meaya Mia as she had to move out quite suddenly and needed a new home for her. She had briefly mentioned it a while back in the summer while chatting over the fence, but we hadn't heard anything from her since then, until Thursday when she popped round and dropped the note off. So after a quiet Friday night at home, Amber came round on Saturday morning and dropped Mia off which was quite exciting for us, but also very sad for her to have to hand her over. Later on, Uns decided to head into Peckham and buy a few things for Mia, like bedding, bowls and a blanket, and I took her up towards Nunhead to the groomers to get her cleaned up and a nice haircut for herself.

That evening I headed down to Walton for the night - Greg and Kim had been invited to a 40th birthday party and asked me to look after the boys for them. At least this time I managed to get them into bed and asleep before midnight, unlike the last time I was asked to babysit :)

On Sunday morning, after Kim dropped me off at the station, I headed back home and just after midday, Uns and I made our way over to Balham for lunch with AJ & Sula and little Morris. We had a good lunch there and nice to catch up with them again.

On Monday we had our lads steak night and had booked into The Butcher & Grill in Battersea, with a good turn out of 11 of us making it through. Giulz was also in town, and was also his birthday, so he came through as well. We first met up at the Draft House, followed by our steak dinner and then finished off again with one more at the Draft House before all calling it a night.

The past few nights have been fairly quiet, just at home with Mia trying to settle her as best we can. Since we're out the house all day, we're trying to get into a habit of taking her for a walk around the block in the evenings which she seems to thoroughly enjoy, so that's a good sign so far. At least we're home all of this weekend, so plenty of Mia time then :)
