On Friday evening after work I headed out to the O2 Arena in Greenwich and met Uns there, first for a bite to eat at Wagamama, then over to the arena to watch Micky Flanagan in his latest tour, titled "An' Another Fing...". The last time we'd both seen him there was almost four years ago in his "Out Out" tour which was excellent, so we were really looking forward to seeing him again. And as expected, it was exceptionally funny and a really good night out.

Just before lunch time yesterday, after the morning at home, I made my way down to Walton and spent the afternoon with the folks and Greg and family. It was just a fairly relaxing afternoon at theirs, with a walk down to the river and then to the park in the afternoon before heading back to their place for dinner. Unfortunately dad had come down with a rather unpleasant head cold, so he wasn't feeling great at all and spent the afternoon indoors and in bed :( After dinner at theirs, Greg dropped me off at the station and I caught the train back home.

This morning Uns and I were up and out the door quite early to head down to Walton for the day. It was the folk's last day of their trip, and they decided to stay fairly local around Walton, especially with dad still not feeling all that great. After lunch at Greg and Kim's place, we took a walk down to the park and the river, and then stopped in at The Anglers pub for a beer overlooking the river.

After our walk and beer, it was back to their house for some time before Uns and I decided to make our way home, never easy saying bye but sure they had a good couple of weeks over here. We got back home a bit earlier this evening, in time for a quick bag pack before we're off to Portugal tomorrow morning for a week of relaxing and hopefully some nice warm weather too!
