On Saturday morning the folks arrived over for a couple of weeks around the UK. They got into Heathrow just after 7am, and Greg had offered to pick them up and took the boys with, so I'm sure there was great excitement on their arrival :) I then made my way down to Walton around midday and spent the afternoon at Greg and Kim's place, followed by a braai in the evening before I caught the train back home.

On Sunday morning myself and Uns caught the train down to Shepperton where Greg met us and we headed over to theirs. Once we were all ready we made our way down to the river, along the towpath and over to the Weir Hotel & Restaurant where we managed to get an outside table for all 8 of us to sit.

After a round of beers, we all ordered lunch and once we'd finished eating, we all took a stroll down to the Sunbury Lock and spent sometime around there enjoying the hive of activity of boats through the locks. After a while around the locks, we walked back to Greg and Kim's place before they dropped us off at Shepperton Station again to get the train back home.

On Monday afternoon the folks made their way up to our place for the night, before they caught their train up to York yesterday morning for a few days around there. Then last night Uns and I met up with James at Blues Kitchen for a catch up dinner as well as a congratulations on his and Fede's recent engagement.

It was just the three of us for dinner, Fede has already moved over to Milan and James is heading over there in November, but was good to have caught up with him. After dinner, we moved over to a table in the bar area, enjoyed a few more beers there before all calling it a night.
