Last week Wednesday after Uns and I got home from work we decided since it was such a nice evening we'd head out for dinner and enjoy the warm evening air. After trying to decide between Telegraph Hill or Franks for the evening, we settled on the latter, but first we headed into Peckham to the Gowlett for pizza for dinner and then over to Franks for a drink and to watch the sunset. Our first visit there this year, but certainly not the last.

The rest of the week, with the weather been as nice as it has been, we landed up staying at home just chilling out in the garden soaking up the warm July sun. Saturday was a particular eventful day, with the British & Irish Lions vs All Blacks game in the morning, followed by the Tour de France, Wimbledon tennis as well as England vs South Africa cricket in the afternoon. Needless to say it was a tough day trying to balance the sport on TV with the sunny weather outside :)

Yesterday, after spending a good bit of the day relaxing outside, we made our way through to Hyde Park for the British Summertime Festival, headlined by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. We arrived there just as Stevie Nicks was playing, so it was good to listen to her for a bit on stage. After grabbing a beer for ourselves, we watched a bit of Ward Thomas on the second stage, followed afterwards by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers on the main stage. We also met up with Keith and Gardi then as well, after having battled to get through to each other on the phones with the poor signal in those crowds, so was good to have caught up with them then.

I didn't know all the tracks that they played, certainly knew all the main hits though, but was a good concert and really good atmosphere there as well. After they had finished playing, we slowly made our way home amongst the crowds, getting in just after midnight last night. Another nice warm day today... would much rather be lying on the sofa outside at home than stuck in the office, but no such luck I guess :)
