As it turns out this update is mainly just food and eating related :) Last week I was out for dinner a couple of times, and both of those for steak which is always a winner. Uns and I had been trying to meet up with JJ for sometime and eventually managed to organise it for Tuesday, so after work I met him at the Wheatsheaf by Borough Market for a couple of beers there before heading over to Hawksmoor where we met Uns for dinner. Gav works at Hawksmoor now so was good to see him there, and impressively he threw down a couple of extras for us at the table which was great. We all ate too much, but was good to eventually get our catch up dinner with JJ sorted.

On Thursday the guys had organised a "steak and beers" evening, so after work I walked over towards Holborn and met up with them at The Bull Steak Expert. There were 12 of us for dinner which was a good turn out and great night seeing everyone again. After dinner they moved onto the Shakespeare's Head for another few but I opted to give it a skip and make my way home.

On Saturday morning Uns and I decided on breakfast at No67 Cafe & Restaurant which I'd never been to before while Uns had previously been there on the Sunday morning of her hen party. We landed up getting there rather early before they'd even opened, but wasn't much of a wait before we were tucking into our breakfast. After eating we walked up towards Nunhead and bought ourselves a couple of steaks from Flock & Herd for a braai (steak three times in a week... not bad at all!!). While I was buying the steaks, Uns noticed a fire pit at the store next door which caught her attention. We'd been talking about getting a fire pit for home, but this one also came with a pizza oven attachment for making your own wood fired pizzas at home. So after not much hesitation, we decided to buy it, so now we've got ourselves a new fire pit AND a pizza oven... guess what we're having for dinner next week :)

The rest of Saturday was just us chilling in the garden, as well as a stroll down to TK Maxx and back again. Yesterday was a similar day, just relaxing away outside in the garden, along with a steak braai last night for dinner which finished off the weekend quite nicely :)
