Uns arrived back last week Wednesday from a few days back in Ireland, so that evening we just chilled out at home, especially after her super early start that morning to get the first flight over and into work. On Thursday evening, after a quick tidy and clean up of the house, we waited for Noel to arrive in. He was flying over from Australia and stopping in London for a couple of nights before flying out to Ibiza. He arrived at ours around 11ish that evening, enough time for a beer outside in the garden and a bit of a catch up.
Then Friday after work I met up with him in Shoreditch and we stopped in at Dinerama for a couple of drinks there upstairs in the sun and then walked down to Spitalfields to meet up with Tom and Paul who were at The Diner. Paul was passing through London again on his way back to South Africa, so glad I was able to catch him on the way through, even if it was just briefly.

After a quick beer at The Diner with them, it was back up to Shoreditch and over to Dishoom where we joined the queue and waited for Uns who met us there. It was about an hour wait in total from joining the queue until we got to our table, but certainly worth it - great food and an awesome night catching up and great banter with Noel, as always! Since he had a crazy early start on Saturday morning, it was straight home after dinner to get some sleep.

On Saturday we were all up at around 04:30 to see Noel off - he had a super early flight which made for a crazy early taxi from ours. But once we'd seen him off we did manage to go back to sleep for a few hours, so wasn't too bad. Later that morning Uns and I had breakfast at the Blackbird Bakery before she dashed off into town for a spa treatment at the Hotel Café Royal by Piccadilly Circus. From the bakery, I took a walk into Nunhead to grab some fresh fish from F.C Soper Fishmonger for our Sunday afternoon braai. That evening we chilled at home watching Glastonbury on the TV, with the Foo Fighters headlining the Pyramid Stage.

Yesterday was a fairly relaxed day around the house, with us firing up the Weber to grill the Cornish hake steaks which certainly turned out better than the last time I tried a fish braai. That evening we headed into town to Ronnie Scott's in Soho to watch the Blues Explosion band, who were excellent! We landed up having the very front row table and seats, so didn't miss any of the performance!

Today's definitely not quite as warm as what the last couple of weeks have been, hoping it's just a cold front and not the end of the heat wave or even the summer!!
