On Friday evening last week, after our drive back from Hazyview, we just had a quiet night in and ordered a Steers takeaway for dinner - always a favourite of mine :) Then on Saturday we had originally thought about heading through to the school's rugby festival, but after being away for the week, we decided to stay around Edenvale and Greenstone area and get a few things done there, as well as lunch up at Piatto in Stoneridge and then the rest of the afternoon at home chilling in the garden.

On Sunday morning we decided to head through to Modderfontein for the monthly Piston Ring Meetup. I can't remember when last I would've been to that - many, many years ago so was good to see it again and take a walk around the cars. The theme for this month was Ford, so plenty of Mustangs, GTs, Thunderbirds and other classic Fords. We spent a couple of hours around there before heading home for a lunch time braai, which Bev joined us for.

Yesterday morning we popped up to Bev's place to photograph some of grandpa's stamps - I'd been wanting to document a few of them to get an idea of the range of his collection, so snapped away a few photos of all his albums to look at sometime down the line. Then afterwards, myself and the folks and Bev headed down to Fahrenheit for lunch and all had a steak and a beer there. We'd spoken about going to Fahrenheit for each of my previous trips out there, and glad we managed to get there eventually this time :)

After lunch it was back home, finish up my packing and last minute sorting and then off to the airport in time to grab a few bottles of Chocolate Block from duty free before boarding my flight :) I flew back on the A380 which really is an awesome aircraft - second time I've flown it now but it's sheer size still amazes me :)

We arrived into Heathrow around 05:30 this morning, one of the first flights to land, so getting through border control and into central London was smooth and easy. After a quick trip home to change and shower, I still managed to get through to work by my usual time! Sure it'll be a fairly long day up ahead, but Una flies back this evening, so looking forward to seeing her again after both being away for the past two weeks :)
