Last week Wednesday Uns and I decided to try the little spaghetti restaurant near to Peckham Rye, called Oi Spaghetti & Tiramisu. They only had a fairly late evening booking for dinner, so we first met up at home for a little while, then took a walk into Peckham for dinner. They're a tiny little hut/shed restaurant in the Copeland industrial car park, not somewhere you'd have guessed to find a small Spaghetti restaurant, but certainly was nice and cosy in there, and good food too!

Then both Thursday and Friday I worked from home while we had the log cabin tiling done. Up until then we just had the exposed concrete base and were keen to get the tiling finished, which they started on Thursday and finished up on Saturday morning, and super happy with the end result :)

On the Friday evening, we had our "breakfast club" dinner which Will and Aggie had organised to have at Daquise, a Polish restaurant in South Kensington. There were about 25 of us out for dinner, a really good turn out, and good to catch up with everyone who we hadn't seen in a while. After dinner there, we headed over to the Zetland Arms pub for a couple before calling it a night and heading home.

On Saturday, once the tilers had finished up, Uns and I fired up the Skottel for a mid-morning brunch fry up, then both chilled out around the house for the rest of the afternoon. That evening, we headed up to St Catherine's Church in Nunhead for the Telegraph Hill Sings event, an evening of local choirs singing everything from pop, gospel, jazz and protest songs to classics and soul music, in which Uns (and the rest of the Nunhead Community Choir) were singing in. They sounded really good, I had only previously heard them sing in the Waverley Arms pub a couple of months back, but they sounded fantastic on Saturday night. We were going to stay until the end, but since we'd not had dinner yet and Chai's Thai Restaurant was just down the road and it was getting late and knew they'd be closing soon, we decided to head out before the final few songs and grab some dinner there.

Yesterday we spent the majority of the day at home and outside in the garden soaking up the mild afternoon sun. Then last night was a quick last minute packing of my bags and after work this evening I'm off to Heathrow for my flight out to SA for a couple of weeks and flying back in on Easter Monday again. Will hopefully try post an update or two while I'm out there, if not, then it'll be back to my regular updates when in London town again.
