Last week Tuesday evening I attempted something different and arranged a training session at the gym with a personal trainer for an hour's session... which was THE longest hour of my life... I genuinely thought that the session (and pain) would never end :( Will have to see if I'm going to book in for another one - might just be a once off! But then on Wednesday evening, to keep things balanced, Uns and I stopped in at Kitchen 54 for dinner - got no will power at all, it's ridiculous :)

On Friday morning Una was up early to head out to Stansted airport - she had booked in a long weekend back home, flying out first thing Friday morning and back again last night. That Friday afternoon, Greg and Kim drove up with the boys for the night as Greg had a work dinner function at Madame Tussauds and asked me to look after the two little guys while they were there. I happily volunteered, thinking "how difficult could it really be", until the three of us were still awake near to midnight, with them both refusing to go to sleep! So much for everything I'd planned to do that night once they were asleep, turned into a night of cartoons on the TV instead :)

On Saturday morning after they had left, I had a few things to do around the house and then in the afternoon I headed out to Paul and Carol's place for dinner, along with Will, Aggie, Fish and Anna. Was a good night out there with us playing a good few rounds of Cards Against Humanity after dinner. Was my first time playing the game and I landed up winning it too, so not bad going :)

Sunday was just a bit of DIY and relaxing around the house, with Una flying back in on Monday night. Then last night we had tickets booked to go and see the opera "Snow" which is based on the story of Snow White, and presented as an immersive opera set over multiple floors, with performers and audience moving between floors as the evening proceeds.

The performance was at the CLF Art Cafe in the Bussey Building in Peckham which was handy for us, so after work Uns and I met up for a quick bite to eat at Honest Burgers and then made our way over to the show which lasted a couple of hours and was pretty good, even though opera isn't quite my thing, the acting and performance was certainly worth watching.
