On Saturday afternoon we decided to take a walk and head up to Telegraph Hill park. Uns had been off work a few days last week with a persistent cough, and Saturday was the first day she was feeling better and keen to get out the house, with a bit of cabin fever setting in after being at home! We weren't out for all that long, but enough time to watch the sunset from the park and then head on home.

Then today was Ethan's birthday party which Greg and Kim had booked at Kidabulous in Sunbury-on-Thames. Originally the plan was for myself and Uns to head to their place and we all drive out from there, but with Una not feeling 100% and railway engineering works on that line, I decided to go down on my own and head direct to Upper Halliford, the nearest station to the venue. At least I had that option, as I certainly wasn't keen on the hour and half bus ride from Clapham Junction due to engineering works! In the end it worked out well, with Kidabulous being less than 10 minutes walk from the station. I hardly really saw Ethan though - he was having way too much fun on the climbing gym and soft play with his buddies, and Rory was more interested in the toddler's play section upstairs! But still a good fun afternoon with the boys. After the party, we headed back to their place for a little while for Ethan to open his presents, before Greg dropped me off at the station to get the train back home.

After a good spell of sunny and decent weather recently, this morning was cold, misty and dull and apparently meant to be like this for the rest of the week. My usual train this morning was cancelled so I landed up heading into work via London Bridge, where I snapped this gloomy photo of The Shard...

So it certainly seems like winter has finally kicked in here now. Reckon it'll be a fairly quiet and indoors week coming up - not overly keen to be out and about in this weather at the moment!
