Not really a huge deal, but a cool little milestone for me. This event (the one you are reading right now) is the 900th blog post on this site. After starting the site just over 11 years and 4 months ago, with my first blog post added on the 7th May 2006, I've now hit exactly 900 posts. I built and started it just before I left South Africa back in 2006, with the initial idea of using it only for the first few months of my travels around Europe and a way to keep track of the places I visited then, and now it's become a regular and weekly update of what both myself and Una are up to. I don't normally do milestone updates here, but figured I would for this one as 900 seemed a fairly decent achievement.

Number 900

A few stats from the past 900 blog posts:
- Used exactly 7,238 photos and images on the site
- Included 32 different YouTube videos on the site
- The year with the most events was 2010 with 118 events
- The month with the most events was September 2011
- The longest blog post was 'San Francisco and Alcatraz' in September 2013
- I've averaged 6.6 events a month over all the 11 years

So thanks for reading and keeping up to date with our adventures on a week by week basis. I've really enjoyed writing this over the years, even if I am normally a few months behind with the updates, but hopefully I can keep it going as I have been doing. That is, until the next milestone, the 1000th post most likely, whenever that may be :)
