Last week Wednesday, Uns had a work meeting in town so we heading in to Shoreditch together and started off with breakfast at Soho Works and then met up again at lunchtime at Blues Kitchen. After work we had organised to watch the Ireland vs Italy Euros game at the Porterhouse with James and Fede and a few of their mates. The majority of the game wasn't too exciting really, and it was only towards the end, when Ireland landed up scoring the only goal of the match, did the pub erupt and everyone went absolutely mental for the rest of the game :) We didn't stay too long afterwards, but still a good night watching the Italians lose to "the boys in green".

On Thursday was the EU referendum vote and on Friday we were woken up with the shocking result that Brexit had actually been voted for, by a margin of 52/48. WTF UK?? How'd that even happen?? At least London had a 60% remain vote, but that didn't help overall I guess :( Anyway, after a miserable half day at the office, we headed over to The Crown & Shuttle for some beers in the sun and a good old moan, with Uns joining us later that evening.

On Saturday Uns and myself took a stroll into Peckham to pick up a few things and had a pretty easy afternoon around the house. Then Sunday was rather busy with more DIY around the house and plenty of work outside in the garden again, taking down the last of the garden shed and cutting down what trees we could.

Even though it sometimes feels like we're moving backwards with the mess the garden is currently in, think we're slowly but surely making some good progress with it... hopefully it's all worth it in the end :)
