On Thursday night Uns and I decided on dinner at Mamma Dough which had only just opened on Wednesday night, so we were keen to try it out. Also nice and handy only a couple of minutes from home. After dinner we figured we could do with a walk and took a stroll up to Telegraph Hill Park and finally back home.
On Friday evening Keith arrived for the weekend, getting in just before 10pm so enough time for a bit of a catch up. It was never planned to be much of a late night with us having an early start on Saturday. Uns was heading up north to see visit Kitty and see Pat, so she was up and out before 7am, while Keith and I first headed into Peckham to pick up the inflatable Nemos, buy some string and purchase some helium. Unfortunately that turned into a disaster with the Nemos being too heavy for the helium :( But anyway, from there we missioned across to Clapham Junction, met up with Greg and then off down to Twickenham where we met Brett and Matty who had the tickets. We timed it well that we got in just as the first South African game was on, which we won by 21 points to Canada's 7.
The day there was good, unfortunately it was a lot quieter than previous years after organisers limited the number of tickets and didn't see an official theme, as well as limit the hours that the bars were open. Not cool. But we all still had a good time there. After the games were over we grabbed a boerie roll outside the stadium and then got the train to Clapham Junction where we met the other guys at BrewDog on Battersea Rise. Fisher came through as well for the evening so was good to catch up with him too.
Yesterday wasn't a very eventful day, with me and Keithy feeling very sorry for ourselves after a big day on Saturday. We just chilled out at home in the morning watching a bit of the Rugby Sevens day 2 on TV until Keith left to meet the other guys for lunch near Liverpool Street and then get his train up to Stansted for his flight back.
