Last week Friday after work I headed over to South Ken and met up with Uns there, first for dinner at Carluccio's and then over to the Science Museum for the Cosmonauts expo they were holding there for six weeks, starting last year September. It was a really good expo, showcasing the birth of the Space Age and the most significant collection of Russian spacecraft and artefacts ever to be shown in the UK, including some of the original space capsules, a cosmonaut craft build to compete with the Apollo and a range of gadgets and tools used throughout the beginning of the space race. After a while of enjoyable walking around, we landed up getting rushed out of there a bit before 10pm which kind of ruined the end of the evening, but all good up until then!

On Saturday morning we had an early start out to Stratford, starting off with some shopping and then breakfast & coffee at Grind, a definite favourite. While out there we organised with Noel and Megan to head round to theirs for dinner, so after dropping our shopping at home we headed over to their place for lobster mac & cheese, nicely served on plastic plates with drinks out of jam jars :) They were in the process of packing up their place to move to Australia so fairly limited on the plates and glasses.

Sunday we were out in Covent Garden for lunch at Flesh and Buns - part of the Bone Daddies chain and serving Taiwanese-style steamed hirata buns ready to be stuffed with 'flesh' of your choosing: braised pork belly, crispy duck, salmon teriyaki and so on. We were first to arrive, followed by Ronan and Emma and then Noel and Megan. We certainly didn't hold back with the lunch but impossible not to - the food there was amazing! Plus the bottomless wine and prosecco helped too :) After our two hour time slot was up, we headed up to The Crown pub for the rest of the afternoon. The Ireland vs Wales rugby was on in the background which we took only half an interest in watching, mainly distracted by Noel's ridiculous shout outs of "breaststroke" throughout the afternoon! Certainly stayed there longer than we should've especially for a Sunday, but by now we're used to feeling rather knackered on a Monday morning :)

Then last night we had Noel and Megan (yes, them again) round at ours for dinner. Since Noel wasn't working he had offered to come over and cook in the afternoon, all ready for when we got home last night. Good having them over and spend the night too!
