On Thursday evening last week Uns and myself had decided to head into town for dinner and she had booked Nightjar for a drink or two beforehand, which I'd never been to. So after work we met up at Old Street and made our way over and downstairs to Nightjar. We originally only had a two hour slot, until the booking after us cancelled so were told we could stay on. Originally the plan was just a pre-dinner drink, but then with the extended stay, the jazz music and the tasty cocktails we landed up overstaying our evening there, eventually having to rush to McDonald's before catching the train home! Not quite the dinner-date night we had originally thought but good night of cocktails! :)
Obviously Friday was a slow start to the day with us both going into work around mid-morning. That evening it was Andreas' leaving drinks at Be At One on Old Street so popped in there briefly before making my way home.
On Saturday morning we decided we'd try go up The Shard with our new Love London tickets and since there wasn't much of a queue we hardly had to wait before going up to the viewing deck. Quite a small space up there to be honest, but good views over the city and we'll definitely be back, good to see it over the various seasons if possible. Once back down from The Shard we popped across to Borough Market to grab some food and shopping and then made our way home for the afternoon and chilled out for the evening on the couch (for a change).
On Sunday we had Mr Shit, Laura and James around for lunch. Unfortunately Fede had family or friends over from Italy so she couldn't make it, but James still headed through, even if he was almost two hours late :) But good to have them over and catching up with them again.
