The first week into a new year is always quiet and slow, with not much happening. Except ours, of course, been a fairly busy first week leading into 2016. After sorting out the house after Christmas on Monday and Tuesday, we had Will and Aggie over for dinner on Wednesday night. Since Will was flying out this past weekend for his three months of travelling we figured it'll be good to catch up over dinner. Between dinner, the South African wines, Polish Vodka and Irish Whiskey, we certainly kept with the multi-cultural "theme" of the night.

On Thursday after work I headed out to Waterloo and met up with Uns, Duncs and Laurie at the Waterloo Vaults for another round of the underground cinema. This time it was a classic - the Big Lebowski :)

The arrival of this past weekend was definitely welcomed - especially with the first week back being not only busy, but also a full five days! Normally we get to ease back into the new year with a short week, but not 2016, straight back into a full and busy week. We didn't have any set plans for the weekend and landed up spending most of Saturday cleaning and de-cluttering the house, followed by Sunday breakfast at Blackbird Bakery and a very chilled out afternoon.

Certainly hoping to start the new year health kick from today :)
