The Saturday just gone by was a rather dull, miserable and rainy Saturday in London - hardly the weather which makes you want to do anything. I landed up spending the day just chilling at home while Uns headed down to New Cross and did a good bit of shopping out there. That evening was Paul's 40th birthday out in Woolwich and at least it had stopped raining by then. So that evening Uns and I headed out to the Woolwich Equitable, met up with everyone and had a good night there celebrating Paul's birthday.

Yesterday morning was an early start, with the alarm not being our friend when it went off at half six, especially that we only got in at around 1am from our Saturday night out. Anyway, once up and out the door we were slightly more awake and headed into town for Remembrance Sunday around The Cenotaph, in Whitehall. Being so early meant we had a decent spot and view over the parade and the laying of the wreaths.

We stayed until midday, and even though we'd both liked to have stayed until the end we did have lunch booked in at Hawksmoor Seven Dials, so couldn't leave it much longer so left the parade and headed over there. After a really good Sunday roast we took a stroll through Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square and Westminster before hopping on the bus and heading home.
