After a fairly quiet Friday evening at home, Saturday was an early start out to Richmond Station and then a bit of a trek up from the station to The Roebuck pub to meet the jukkas for lunch before the game. Myself, Uns and Mr Shit had tickets to the game, so after eating we left the rest of them and made our way out to Twickenham. The game itself was really tight, with the Springboks just unable to push past the All Blacks at the end, resulting in a two point loss of only 18 against their 20. The atmosphere wasn't great in the stadium to be honest, most of the Kiwis left immediately, even before their team's victory lap, and everyone else was a bit down that the All Blacks were still in the tournament and off to the final :(

After the game Uns and myself decided to hang around at the middle tier bar and wait for the crowds to die down a bit, no point rushing for them straight away and queue for half the night. After a post-match beer, we managed to get a shuttle bus over to Richmond and met up with Will, Mr Shit and Shawn at the Pig's Ear. When the other two left, it was just myself, Uns and Will left who finished up our drinks and made our way home, helping Will best we could to also get home :)

Yesterday was the second semi-final with Australia playing Argentina, the winner reaching the final and the losing team meeting the Boks this Friday for the playoffs. We decided to meet up with Noel and Megan for lunch out in Putney at Carluccio's. After a few Aperol Spritz' and a good feed later, we headed over to the Coat & Badge and met up with Matt, Bee, Ally and Helene. Australia came out victorious which meant we didn't leave straight away, but rather hung around for a good bit of the night at the corner table, after all Sunday is the new Saturday!

After finishing up at the pub, we left Noel and Megan, did a cheeky stop in at What-A-Chicken before finding ourselves a taxi and missioning home. As sad as I am that the rugby is finishing up this coming weekend, I'm also glad to get back to normal weekend routine and less Sunday night socialising :)
