After getting in a bit after midnight on Saturday night, we were up fairly early on Sunday to welcome the guests - Anthony, Lui and the boys who had arrived on Saturday afternoon while Uns and I were up in Birmingham. After a fry up at home we caught the train into town, starting off at Waterloo and across the Golden Jubilee Bridge and down to Big Ben - the touristy walk. From there we crossed over Westminster Bridge and down to Namco for a round of bumper cars.

From Namco we figured we'd start to look for a bite for lunch when Lui suddenly remembered she'd left the tickets at home (our home, not Ireland thank goodness), so I volunteered to dash home, grab them and meet then up at Wembley. They had different seats to myself and Uns, so after splitting up we headed into the stadium and randomly bumped into Noel, Megan and Vera who must've had seats quite near us. The game and atmosphere was good, with Ireland beating Romania by 44 points to 10 and also resulted in a record World Cup crowd of 89,267 people. And then of course the trek from the stadium to the station was always going to be highly entertaining with that many Irish fans!

Yesterday was a fairly early start to catch the train out to Windsor for our day out at Legoland. I'd never been there before, Una had years ago, but when we were originally looking at ideas and plans for this weekend, we figured Legoland would be the best option, which suited me just fine :)

After a full day out there looking at Lego and hopping between the rides and rollercoasters, we left the resort and headed into town up to Leicester Square to check out the M&M store - always a winner. We spent a good bit of time with the M&Ms before heading past Trafalgar Square and then decided on Five Guys for dinner... the second time this weekend for myself and Una. The rugby really isn't helping with any sort of healthy living or eating plans for us - it's like the Olympics all over again :) After eating we headed home for the night and I was up and out the door this morning before them, but certainly a good weekend having the five of them over in London!
