On Friday afternoon Claire, Michael and Jack arrived for the weekend, so after work I headed home and made my way up to Telegraph Hill to meet them there but they'd just left so after chilling out in the sun for a while, I headed back home for drinks and dinner once Noel and Megan arrived.
On Saturday morning while Jack was having his sleep, myself Noel and Megan took a walk over to Bellenden Road in Peckham to grab some steak for the braai for dinner. I'd known about the Flock and Herd butcher so stopped in there and grabbed ourselves a decent few cuts of steak for that night. After getting home, we all left and made our way into Borough Market for a walk around (and toasted cheese sandwich) followed by a walk over the river and then up to the Sky Garden. They timed their weekend well with Saturday's weather reaching a hot and humid max of 30°C.
After a while up in the Sky Garden, Uns left to meet up with Laurie and the girls for her hen and I made my way up to Shoreditch to the Crown and Shuttle to meet Duncs and the guys for his London stag. Didn't stay long, more of a catch up with everyone before heading home to braai, which turned out to be more like a midnight feast rather than dinner :)
Yesterday morning started off with Claire, Michael and Uns taking Jack for a walk out through Greenwich and once back, Noel and Megan decided to head home while the five of us popped over to the Telegraph for lunch. After a roast there, we made our way into South Bank for a stroll along the river and then finally home. Last night, while Claire and Michael went up to Skehans for a couple of drinks, Uns and I chilled at home watching TV while babysitting Jack. A pretty busy weekend, but with the nice weather it was good to spend the majority of it outdoors!
