On Friday after work I rushed home, grab our bags and tent and caught a taxi over to Waterloo where I met up with Uns. From there we caught the train down to Ashurst New Forest, headed over to the campsite and set up tent, in between getting eaten alive by the midges. It was at that point we realised we shouldn't packed insect repellent!! But once set up and sorted we took a walk over to the New Forest Pub for a quick beer then back to camp to get some sleep.

We started off on Saturday morning with breakfast and a coffee at the campsite, then sat around soaking up the sun before heading off down the road to The Happy Cheese Pub for lunch. After grabbing something to eat there we carried on down the road to the shops to stock up with supplies, food and most importantly - insect repellent! From there it was back to The Happy Cheese for an ice-cream, then to camp for a chill out and afternoon nap before firing up a braai (in a bucket) for dinner that evening.

Yesterday morning after breakfast Uns and I headed out for a decent long walk, we figured we'd not done much exercise the weekend so headed out and landed up at the Druid's Inn for a break and then back to camp and dinner. After having eaten we took a walk up to the New Forest Pub to watch Moss who was the live entertainment for the night, as well as a couple of pints :)

This morning, after walking down to the shops for some breakfast, we packed up camp and landed up rushing to the station to get the train back to London at a decent time. The previous couple of trips were only the one night, first time we've tried three nights out and reckon we did pretty well - the only thing to remember for next time is the damn insect repellent!! :)
