After arriving in Dublin on Thursday midmorning, we grabbed a bite to eat in the airport then took forever to get our car from Avis, but eventually got there and got on the road down to Cork. Didn't rush down and arrived at the Imperial Hotel late afternoon, giving us enough time to check in and head down for a (free) swim in the pool in the spa, even though we weren't supposed to without booking or paying for it... oops :) For dinner that night we decided to stay in and eat at Pembroke Restaurant down in the hotel. On Friday morning, after a quick breakfast and coffee downstairs, we hit the road and headed west down to Castlehaven.

After a change into our wedding outfits - myself, Una, Megan, Claire and Michael headed off to St. Michael's Church in Rathbarry for Hag and Jane's wedding. It was good to be at their wedding without having to have done months and months of jobs and planning beforehand for it :) Plus I think we both appreciated every bit of detail, more so than usual!

From the church we headed over to Dunmore House, about 15 minutes away and had a brilliant time that evening and afternoon. Really good wedding and good to catch up with everyone there who we hadn't seen since our wedding. Still not caught up with the London crowd yet, will have that to still look forward to soon enough now that we're back to normal again. After a good night there we managed to squeeze into a bus/taxi and head home, with a bit of a sing song during the journey back :)

Yesterday was a bit of a struggle to get going but with it being the Boss and Biddy's 50th year wedding anniversary, they'd organise a nice big lunch at home and had everyone over. Teresa and Tony came over with the food all organised from The Lime Tree, which certainly helped the wedding hangover :)

After lunch I thought I'd put my head down for a few minutes which turned into a three hour afternoon nap, but did me the world of good! There were plans to head out to Clon last night with Dec and Jane, but myself and Una decided against it and babysat Jack while Claire, Michael, Noel and Megan headed off for a few hours, which they said was quiet enough - perfect for the night after. We got a few of our things sorted and spent today packing up, popping into Angie to pay for the cake then up to Cork and catch the earlier flight back to London. Home now at a decent hour so get to chill a bit this evening before the return back to reality tomorrow...
