On Monday morning, after a coffee and breakfast down at Bar Caffe Rossi, we organised an amazing selection of cheeses and some cured meats to takeaway from Enoteca Cava Turacciolo wine bar. With lunch sorted for the day we headed down to Pescallo and enjoyed a coffee in the sun while we waited for Andrea to bring our boat over.

After a brief introduction to the boat (even though I don't remember Andrea teaching us how to pull a few donuts on the lake but Una somehow did...), we headed out down the Como leg of the lake and spent a good three hours out on the water, including a stop for our cheese and meat platter. On our cruise down towards Como we passed George Clooney's villa, Richard Branson's villa, the James Bond villa and a whole range of other stunning apartments and villas along the lake. As tempting as it was to stay on longer, we had already extended our original 2 hour booking by an extra 1, so figured it was time to return to land. Once back at Bellagio we grabbed a gelato each and headed back home. With the weather being as warm as it was we decided to hang out on the balcony and soak up a few rays and take in the view. For dinner that evening we ate at La Punto followed by Albergo Genazzini Metropole for a drink on the water's edge and Enoteca Cava Turacciolo wine bar for a glass of wine there.

On Tuesday, after pizza and coffee for breakfast (always a winner) we caught the ferry over to Lenno and had lunch at Plinio. From lunch we walked up to Villa del Balbianello and did a walk around their gardens. We decided against going in the villa, it was by guided tour only, both preferring to stay outdoors and enjoy the walking. After a good walk around Villa del Balbianello we caught the ferry to Malagio for a walk around then finally back to Bellagio where we had dinner upstairs at Ristorante Barchetta.

Yesterday morning after coffee and breakfast at Bar Caffe Rossi, we both Una did a bit of shopping in town, followed by a walk down all along the waterfront and then back to La Punto for lunch. Once done there we decided to check into the Hotel Belvedere spa and pool for the afternoon where we basically just chilled out on the top deck and mixed up suntanning and swimming until early evening! Since our place had the view but no pool, it was a good way to finish off the last afternoon.

After a quick stop in at home to change, we thought we'd head back to Aperitivo Et Al for another tasty dinner of cheese and cured meats. Between the food and the wine here, we'll both definitely be back to Lake Como in the near future! After dinner we headed back through the park gardens and to the apartment. This morning was an early start at about 5am in order to finish packing, drive back to Milan, hand in the car and check in for the flight. Can't believe how quickly the past week went, now just waiting for our flight to Dublin and then back down to Cork for Hag and Jane's wedding tomorrow!
