After a busy night at home on Tuesday with all our packing and house sorting, we headed out on Wednesday morning in the rain to Gatwick by taxi, all set and ready for Ireland. After landing in Cork, we picked up our car, an awesome black 5 series BMW, which Uns had suggested instead of a wedding car on the day, which I was more than happy with :) After eventually finding the Maldron Hotel in the city centre, we headed off for a walk to get some lunch and grab a few things from the shops. Once done there, it was back to the hotel to an afternoon swim in the pool until Greg and Kim arrived. It took a good few messages and calls back and forth to direct them to the hotel but we eventually got there. After checking in we all headed out to Scoozi's for dinner, followed by Le Chateau for a drink before calling it a night.

Yesterday morning we headed out quite early and made our way past Mahon Point Farmers Market to pick up some wheels of cheese for the wedding, as well as grabbing a coffee and bite to eat there. Once done we made our way down west, stopping off first at the Celtic Ross Hotel for a quick chat with them, then onto Bawn for the afternoon. After the folks and Lundies had arrived and everyone got to meet everyone, we dropped Greg and Kim off at the bungalow and the folks and Lundies off at the house. John and Jane-Ann had very kindly offered their accommodation to us for the wedding week which worked out brilliantly for us, very kind of them. After dropping their bags we all headed off into Skibb to Sean Murrey's for the suits, which went better than planned with dad and Greg both picking their suits quite easily. Once done with the suits we decided to head down to Baltimore, a walk around there and then up to the Beacon.

That evening myself and Uns had the church wedding rehearsal with Father Thornton which all went OK. Was also the first time I'd actually felt a bit nervous about the wedding, was hardly a bother yip to then but has a few butterflies in the stomach during the rehearsal. All good though! After the church I left the folks and family to have their dinner at the house while myself and Una cracked on with the last of the jobs before a late dash through to the Celtic Ross to drop everything off there. Glad we did it last night and not left it until today, made it easier for us both.

This morning we had a few more things to do around the house, including a quick iron of my wedding shirt which turned into a disaster after ironing black plastic or ink into the collar :( After a panic and freak out, we dashed into Skibb to get it dry cleaned and pressed there, hoping they could sort it. We then met up with Greg and Kim and the folks at Chapter 72 Restaurant Cafe for seafood chowder and coffees. Once done with lunch we took a spin around the coast, stopping off for a few photos along the way. From there we all headed home to get ready for dinner down in Mary Ann's, which was really good and really loud :)

After dinner a few of the crowd spoke about heading up to Lil's and as half tempted as I was, I decided against it and thought I'd save my voice for tomorrow and the next day, if it makes it through the wedding! Staying in the bungalow tonight where Greg and Kim are, so will get ready here in the morning and head off to the church later on. Exiting times...
