After a nice short four day week last week, we finished up on Thursday with a couple of beers in the sun over at Strongroom Bar on Curtain Road with Andrew, John, Shannon and Syd. Was one of the first really nice sunny late afternoons we've had for a while so good to grab a few cold ones in the sun. After a couple there I headed home, Uns and myself did originally have plans to head out to Stratford but decided to postpone that until the Saturday.
On Friday morning, after a quick visit to the gym and a tidy up around the house, we decided to pop down to Maddy's Fish Bar for a late lunch but unfortunately they seemed to have shut shop, not sure if just for the day or permanently closed. Hopefully the former as they were really good down there and didn't get to visit then enough. So instead of Maddy's we figured we'd try The Rose, which used to be The Hobgoblin until their fairly recent revamp, so at least we got our fish and chips after all.
On Saturday we were up early and over to Stratford, getting there as they were opening their doors. After a breakfast and coffee at Grind, we cracked on with the day and finished up in there about 7 hours later!! Too much for me :) But we did get plenty done, so happy about that.
Sunday was a lovely sunny day outside and spent a good bit of the morning out in the garden doing a bit of work out there in preparation for the upcoming summer months. Once we were done there for the morning we headed over to the Telegraph for lunch and then hopped on the bus down to Greenwich Park for the afternoon. Greenwich seemed like a popular choice for the afternoon with a good crowd of Londoners out an about, always good to see. Uns and I spent the afternoon just wandering around the park, soaking up some of the Spring sunshine and slightly warmer weather.
Yesterday was another lovely warm and sunny day and spent it at home in the garden, just relaxing, with no plans to head out. We did get a few wedding jobs done which is always good and now looking forward to another nice short four day week coming up. Could get used to these... :)
