Last week Tuesday so was St. Paddy's day so Uns and myself decided to head out for a couple after work around Peckham. We thought we would try Gowlett in Peckham which neither of us has been to and had good things about it. After pizza and a Guinness there we headed down East Dulwich Road towards Nunhead and stopped in at The Beer Shop for a couple of craft beers and a wine for Uns. Cool little bar with a decent selection of craft beers - will certainly be back :)
On Thursday evening was our work social evening in the office but landed up at the Princess of Shoreditch afterwards for a couple before heading home. After a quiet Friday night at home, I was up early on Saturday morning and over to Euston to get a train up to Birmingham for the day to attend the Photography Show 2015, held annually at the NEC. It was my first time attending the show and rather impressed with it all and surprisingly didn't spent anything at all, despite all the new cameras and gear on show and sale! Good to know for next time to know which exact deals you're after and snap them up there!
By the time I got home around 8ish, Una and Megan had put together some dinner plans after being out for the afternoon sorting out Meeg's wedding dress. So after dropping my bag we hopped on the train and headed out to Clapham Junction and met up with Noel outside Dip & Flip. They were pretty busy so while we waited for a table we grabbed a quick drink next door at Be At One until we got ourselves a table. Myself and Uns had never been to Dip & Flip before and it really was quite an experience - double bacon roast beef burger and cheesy fries served with a bowl of gravy for dipping. I was in heaven :)
From Dip 'n Flip we stopped in at McD's for a McFlurry and then headed on down to Clapham Junction to get the train home. We were all feeling quite sensible and decided not to go out afterwards, which was probably wise considering the healthiness of the dinner we'd just had. With nothing planned yesterday we landed up just chilling around the house and taking it fairly easy.
