On Wednesday after work I headed out to Putney to meet up with Will and Duncs at the Railway. Only stayed there for a couple before heading home, which was wise considering it was midweek! Then Thursday evening was just a chilled night at home with Uns out in town at her work Christmas party at Bel Canto.

On Friday I headed straight home to meet up with Uns, Claire, Michael and little Jack who were over for the weekend. They'd gotten in mid-afternoon and were just catching up at home. That evening Noel and Megan popped round for dinner which we'd organised raclette - always a winner. We hadn't any plans to head out, especially with Jack sleeping next door, but the six of us had a good night in.

Yesterday morning Uns had another wedding dress fitting in town, so her and Claire headed off their while Jack, Mike and I followed a bit later and made our way in. We figured we'd take a walk and show Jack some of the sights of London, starting off with Tower Bridge before we drifted off to sleep. From Tower Bridge we turned around and made our way over to the Christmas markets in front of the Tate Modern where we grabbed ourselves a glühwein and waited for the girls to finish. Once they were done we met up with them at Borough Market and thought we'd stop in at The Anchor for a quick beer and glühwein.

After the pub we headed home and met up with Noel and Megan who were waiting for us at the Blackbird Bakery. We had decided on another night in with dinner and drinks instead of going out which turned into another really good fun night at home. That is, until we were woken at 4am with a leak from the flat above! Not something you want to deal with then, but eventually after managing to wake him upstairs we got in and got the leak sorted. What a pain, but better that we were there than away!

This morning was a slowish start to the day and then in the afternoon we headed through into town to Somerset House to go see the skate rink they've got there. No skating though, just some hot chocolate and a bit of a walk around. From Somerset House we made our way up to Covent Garden and while Uns and Claire dashed around the Christmas Market, Mike and I decided to pop into the Porterhouse to get out from the cold :) Once they were done we made our way next door to La Tasca for tapas, always a winner for dinner!

After dinner we all headed home and Uns and myself decided to babysit Jack while Claire and Mike made their way into town for a few drinks at The Shard and along the South Bank. They're leaving mid-morning tomorrow but I've got a real early start out to Heathrow and over to Berlin for work but just for the night. Certainly getting into the Christmas spirit now, and sure we'll find a Christmas Market or two in Germany, they always do fairly well with those over there!
