Last Friday, after a few mid-afternoon cold ones down at the Barley Mow, the few of us from the office headed over to Barrio East on Shoreditch High Street for Emma's leaving drinks. I stayed there for a few before calling it quits and heading on home. It was one of those nights which couldn't kept 'til late, so probably wise I escaped when I did.

On Saturday morning Uns headed out first to go meet up with Megan for the day. They had organised breakfast in town followed by a couple of drinks that afternoon down along the South Bank. While they were out and about I had organised to attend a LapseLondon talk and workshop near to Kings Cross, all to do with time lapse photography. It was organised by Triggertrap and had brief talks by Nicholas Goodden and Chad Gordon Higgins. After the intro and talks we all headed out for the afternoon and I decided to make my way down to Westminster to get a shot over the river towards the Houses of Parliament. The weather was almost too nice, blue skies with very little cloud - you really want a bit of movement in the sky! I guess the only other (much shorter) timelapse I'd attempted was the proposal video, so still fairly new at this.

After snapping photos for about two hours I headed back to the offices at Kings Cross to drop my files and then cruised on home. They plan to join all the timelapses together into a single promo video which should be good to watch. Will definitely attempt mine again and try improve! Here's the official one they released with everyone's cuts...

On Sunday Uns was up early and off to Greenwich for her 10k run which she'd signed up for a while back. She wasn't feeling 100% but pushed on through and still managed to run it, a bit slower than she wanted to but still completed it! Then once home and changed, we headed through into town to Park Lane to The Dorchester Hotel for afternoon tea which Uns had booked for us for Christmas. We were a bit early so decided to stop by Winter Wonderland which turned out to be crazy busy so decided against going in at all. The Dorchester on the other hand was the opposite - very posh, no crowds and rather fancy. We started off with a cocktail and a beer at the bar, followed by our champagne afternoon tea in the dining area.

Afternoon tea was a selection of sandwiches, pastries and cakes as well as a glass of champagne followed by tea or coffee. Very fancy of us, but a real nice afternoon! After tea we headed home, avoiding the crowds of Winter Wonderland, and stopped in at Beer Rebellion for a quick one then cruised on home. It's meant to turn real cold here this week (apparently) so we're all preparing ourselves for a quiet week indoors to manage these approaching arctic conditions :)
