Last Wednesday after work myself and Uns headed through to Shepherds Bush and over to Noel and Megan's house for dinner. They had plans to cook us dinner but after their sink landed up with some serious blockage, they had to call a last minute plumber and decided against cooking (and wash up) and get a few takeaway pizzas instead from The Bird In Hand around the corner.

On Friday I landed up working from home while waiting for our delivery of the kitchen island which Uns had ordered a good few weeks ago. After spending the day at home waiting, it turned out they weren't able to find it and would try redeliver the next day. Then that evening I headed into town to Soho and over to Burger and Lobster for Dan and Ieva's wedding celebration dinner. A good turn out with 12 of us there - them two, me, Uns, Loz, Duncs, Laurie, Carrol, Will, Si, Nic and Laura. After dinner we made our way down to Shaftesbury Avenue and into De Hems Dutch Cafe Bar. We headed upstairs and had an awesome night there as part of their Beer Fest theme with a proper sing-along and good atmosphere. Favourite part was the group cheer of "one more beer" for Davies followed by a round of applause on his return. Classic. By the time they closed everyone called it a night except myself and Uns who decided on one more at The Casino At The Empire just off Leicester Square. Wasn't really necessary but always tricky to call it a night once we're out and about :)

Saturday morning the kitchen island arrived and turned into a much bigger task than originally planned with the width only a few millimetres less than the hallway and almost impossible to get it through. The 'babalas' didn't help either! But we got there eventually, and glad once it was done. Then the afternoon was spent at home sorting bits and pieces around the house.

Sunday was just a fairly quiet day around the house, I guess Friday was bigger than initially planned. We were out last night again at James and Fede's place up in Angel. I got to Angel before Uns so decided to head over to The Craft Beer Co. for a quick one then across to James and Fede's place. Tommy and Patricia were over for dinner too so good to catch up with them as well. A good night there, between last week and this - Wednesday definitely the new Thursday :)
