Last Thursday evening was a trip down memory lane to the Carpenters Arms in Goodge Street for pre-wedding drinks for Andrew and Sula. Kerri had originally tried to organise Katzenjammers or The Bavarian Beerhouse by Old Street but both were fully booked for the Oktoberfest events. So the Carps it was. After work myself, Andrew and John headed down to Goodge Street and met up with Sula, Kerri and the BBC crowd and a bit later on with Uns when she got there. So just a small Sponge meetup, but a good night out there. It's definitely been years since I would've last been out that way. We did try get ourselves a Gigs' but he'd closed for the night so myself, Uns and John headed down to Leicester Square for Burger King and a night cap at Salvador & Amanda before calling it a night.

Friday was a bit of a slow day to get through but managed alright, had no plans that evening, just home to chill out and put the feet up. Saturday was much the same chilled out sort of day, just before Una's half marathon, so we'd decided to keep it fairly local. We did take a wander down to the London Particular for a coffee and then I caught the Currie Cup final on TV at home, wasn't too bothered to head out anywhere to watch it which was a good call considering the Lions landed up losing.

Yesterday was Una's half marathon over in Richmond, so she headed off early and I made my way over to Putney a bit later to Tried & True and met up with Noel for breakfast/brunch. Once Uns was done with her run she made her way over and joined us a bit later. She landed up doing it in just over two hours which I thought was excellent but she wasn't as pleased with it. She's got another one in March so good to have this one as a benchmark I guess.

After brunch, Noel headed off home and Uns and myself tried popping into FTG to visit the guys but they'd all gone out for the afternoon so instead made our way home to chill. The clocks had gone back Saturday night so it landed up getting dark real early yesterday, a sure sign of the approaching winter!
