After a quiet Friday night in, Saturday morning was all go getting the house sorted, tidied, grass cut, charcoal sourced and food & drink bought before the guys came round after lunch. I'd planned an afternoon round at ours a few weeks back to start chatting about the stag, and get an idea of when and where etc. Haig had driven up from Hove, Will was already there, Si and Duncs pulled through but no show from Fisher... useless. Since the weather was really mild (especially for October) we spent the afternoon sitting outside and had a late afternoon braai and a couple of beers to compliment it.
Later on Duncs headed out (or home) and myself, Haig, Si and Will made our way over the road to the Montague Arms which was doing some charity night there and charging to get in. Since we were only stopping in for one, we decided to skip the Monty and cruise on down to Beer Rebellion for a couple. After sometime at BR we made our way up to the Four Quarters for a night of retro gaming and old school arcades.
After a good few hours of gaming, both downstairs and upstairs, we left Four Quarters and Davies got the train from Peckham Rye while myself, Haig and Will decided we needed some dodgy chicken and headed home via Lions as unfortunately Chick Chicken was closed, I'll get there one day :)
Yesterday morning Will "moved out" back to Paul and Carol's place while Uns, Haig and I headed down to The Telegraph for a roast for lunch, perfect out the day after a night out. We were tempted to try a roast at The Monty but figured we'd stick to what we know, try a new roast on a rainy winter's day instead. After lunch Haig left and headed back down south and myself and Uns chilled out at home for the afternoon.
